Easy and flexible installation
AXIS P1224-E consists of two parts: a sensor unit (consisting of the lens and image sensor) with an 8 m (26 ft.) cable, and the main unit (with network, power and input/output connections and a memory card slot). The cable connects the two parts, enabling the sensor unit to be installed discreetly in tight places, and the main unit to be placed elsewhere.
Flush mount installation
AXIS P1224-E comes with a mounting bracket that can be taped or screwed on to the back of a surface for quick and easy flush mount installation. The camera can be powered over Ethernet or by an external power supply.
Wide-angle miniature camera
This video demonstrates the placement and size of the uniquely designed AXIS P12 Network Cameras. It shows how they easily blend into a variety of environments where space is limited or a concealed installation is required. A portion of this movie was filmed at “Tutankhamun, His tomb and His treasures”, an exhibition produced by Semmel Concerts GmbH.
Video and audio surveillance can be prohibited by laws that vary from country to country. Check the laws in your local region before using this product for surveillance purposes.

H.264 Video Compression
H.264 is a video compression for digital video recorders to use when reducing video file sizes without losing resolution in the captured footage. H.264 standard compresses the footage so that only half the storage space is used however the same video quality is maintained. Advanced Video Coding (AVC) uses Macroblocks to process information in 16x16px blocks.
HD Resolution Capability
HD refers to high definition or 720p/1080p resolution, 1080p is known as Full HD. This resolution is a significant step up from 480p which can be seen in the image (on the right).
The first figure (1920) refers to horizontal pixels and the second figure (1080) denotes vertical resolution. The simple difference between HD and SD images is the number of pixels contained in the image
